There are tons of questions that whirl in the mind of the Internet users, such as which is the best Internet security or antivirus software? From where to download the free antivirus apps? How to use the tools and features of an Internet security software to ensure safe and secure Internet surfing and shopping? We are here to answer all such questions.

To get started, it would be vital to know the expectations of the Internet users. Take your own example, and answer: how patient you are i.e. can you wait for minutes to land on to a particular website, would you compromise with your privacy on social media, would you stay mum when your kids are bullied online, can you put your financial information like credit card information at risk while shopping, would you like to get your favorite site blocked with no reason. Obviously, your answer would be a vehement NO in every case. Hence, protection, performance and usability all matter, when it comes to the Internet usage, and it would be difficult to dilute any of the aspect.

However, being human, safety comes first. Hence, let’s start with protection capability.  e-Threat landscape is evolving every day. According to McAfee, an Intel subsidiary now, the evolution rate of new threats (Q3, 2014) was put close to 307 threats every minute or more than five every second. Hence, the most vital question is how reliable and effective an Internet security software is in dealing with the emerging or zero-day malware attacks, including web and e-mail threats.

Well, hurry is the next matter to worry in the fast pace lifestyle. Yes, we all are obsessed with the speed factor. We want to surf, browse and download files from the Internet with a lightning fast speed. Hence, an Internet security software should be light enough on system resources to allow uninterrupted installation of new software, incessant performance from running applications, and should favor instant copying of files locally and in a network, and smooth sharing of network resources, including printers, all-in-ones, etc.

Usability refers to the influence of the Internet security software on the system. To be precise, it should quarantine malware files from genuine ones. It should not block useful programs and files or network resources, and mislead users with fake warning messages or notifications. As this lead to unnecessary interference and distractions, and loss of productivity.

In addition, the Internet security software should be capable of repairing corrupted system files. This is desirable as achieving 100% perfection in terms of Internet security is next to impossible. Hence, there should be a way to revert those situations and restore normalcy.
